Built in the grand style of the finest mountain lodges, the Retreat offers unparalleled luxury and indulgence. These generous suites feature king beds, open lounge areas, and spacious balconies or decks with mesmerising views over the vineyard, lake and majestic Southern Alps. Commonly Asked Questions

Every room rate at the Retreat includes a daily à la carte breakfast with barista coffee and an evening cheeseboard. Guests also have shared use of the lap pool, gym, sauna, and hot tub. Reach out to your host if you wish to book a private hot tub session.
Yes. Our Cellar Door is open daily from 11.00am to 5.00pm for wine tasting, platters and nibbles, a short walk from the main lodge. Guests wanting a sit-down dinner can also book our five-course Trust the Chef dining experience in the Lodge, subject to availability and prior notice.

The Lodge offers intimate rooms overlooking the vineyard, from $745 per night. The Cottage is a private, two-level suite set apart from the main lodge, suited to couples wanting more seclusion, from $945 per night.

Yes. Our signature Trust the Chef experience is a five-course dinner in the Lodge, priced at $385 per couple, subject to chef availability. We ask for 48 hours’ notice where possible so our chef can prepare for any dietary requirements.

"I had never stayed at a winery and wow - just wow - this was an incredible stay. From the moment we drove up the driveway we had to stop and take photos - the entrance door was so beautiful and we could not get far in without standing and looking in awe! The service was incredible, and complimentary wine and cheese beside the pool on a blue sky day was unreal. The breakfast that was cooked to order every morning was 10/10 and the staff were phenomenal. This was the best stay on our three week trip in NZ."

The team there shuffled rooms to give us a family room (a two-bedroom suite), and we enjoyed the personal cooked breakfasts to order, the gorgeous pool, and complimentary cheese and wine in the evening. We had an exquisite five-course private chef meal prepared for New Year's Eve, and could not have been happier with the stay."

Have you ever used the word 'WOW' when you see a property? Well that's what you will be saying when you see Stoneridge Estate. We stayed in the cottage which was beyond beautiful and cozy in the chilly NZ weather. My parents in law stayed in the lodge, and loved their room and the spectacular view. Views were heavenly, the staff were sweet, cheese board and wine of an afternoon was a beautiful bonus, the breakfasts were lovely, view from the hot tub insanely gorgeous, in room massage was divine, and the Trust the Chef experience was fabulous!

We stayed in the Fiordland Suite which was tastefully furnished down to every detail. The entire estate is stunning, it's rich in history and so interesting to explore. This is a boutique accommodation where everything is intimate, quiet, and the place is slow, giving you a chance to feel like you're actually on holiday!
